Road Safety For Girl Students


Now a days girls and ladies move around by driving 2 wheelers and cars. It is increasing day by day. Keeping this in mind motor companies design specially for them, suit to middle class to rich class. Battery operated mopeds also available in the market, saying that driving license is not required! Whether license is required or not, knowing road rules is must not only for gents but for the girls and ladies also.


Thinking about this scenario, Mrs.Usha and Mr.Perumal, both NSS teachers, Govt. Thiruvalluvar Girls Hr.Sec.School, Pondiche’ry organized a road safety programme on 21st January 2008.


Pudumai Balakrishnan, Chief Traffic Warden conducted road safety class exclusively for 11th standard girls with visual aids. He interacted with the students and awarded big claps from all the students for right answering student! Not only the benefit of helmet but the disadvantage of triple riding and using mobile phone also explained. The punishment for the UNDER AGE driving also was explained

Sticker to prevent 2 wheeler theft


Sticker to prevent 2 wheeler theft released by Mr.Vanidasan S.I, Sedarapet Police Station on 19.2.2009. Pudumai Balakrishnan received the first copy. Two wheeler thefts are there in almost all metropolitans, and developing cities. Eventhough Police is successful in nabbing the two wheeler thieves, they comeout in bail and continue to steal motor cycles in another town!

The Police case is one area and creating PUBLIC awareness to prevent theft is another area. Always use TWO LOCKS for your TWO wheelers. Hence awareness sticker was released in this regard

A Road Safety Sticker released @ Ryze Chennai network meeting on 31.01.2009 at Santhi Colony, Anna nagar, Chennai.Released by Mr.Nagaraj , radius consultancy. Ms.Rani , RK IT Solution received the first copy. Pudumai Balakrishnan in the middle. Ryze Chennai network is a group of academicians and business people of GOOD THINKING. Some time back Ms.Punitha thangarajan e-mailed a wonderful road safety slogan. She never thought it will spark an idea to transform in to a road safety sticker. This road safety sticker is presented in Tamil. English translation is : " Roads are paved to connect relationships; not to get killed ". This road safety sticker was sponsored by Mr.U.M.Krishnan, Manager, Honda Siel Genset, Pondicherry.
